With Anti Aging In Mind, How Do We Live a Healthy Life?

It is so easy to forget about our health and well being when we are so busy taking care of everyday life necessities. However, being neglectful of our health over an extended period of time can take its toll on first our energy level, than our strength and conditioning, our immune system, and our ability to do the normal everyday task that we were so focused on doing in the first place.
Drink Water
This so basic, but in our society today, it can be so easily overlooked. Drink Water.
How much do you need?
Well the jury is still out on that. However, it is estimated that between six to eight glasses of water under normal none strenuous conditions is a good rule of thumb. Some say between 10 to 12 glasses, some say between 8 to 10 glasses. The most important point is you need to stay hydrated throughout the day. If you fall short of your fluids by as little as five percent, the resulting energy loss is twenty five to thirty percent. What is even more alarming is that if a person sustains a fluid loss of as little as fifteen percent, that could be fatal.
The reason I am specifying water is because people do tend to consume other liquids throughout the day, but often the substitutes for water have other issues such as high calories or alcohol, or caffeine which can have adverse side effects. So if you concentrate on getting your daily intake of water, you will be helping your fluid levels without introducing unnecessary other problems.
Nutritious Foods
I am always amazed at people who are able to consume their daily recommended servings of fruit and vegetables. I know there are a lot of people who do this, but the vast majority of people do not come anywhere close to achieving the five daily servings of vegetables and daily servings of fruits. The only way that I am able to do this is to use a juicer(actually it is better than a juicer because it incorporates all of the food into a liquid instead of just the juice).
Of course I do not consume only raw vegetables and fruits, but I am not as concerned about the loss of nutrients when I cook food, since I am getting all my nutrients with my liquefied fruits and vegetables. It is not well publicized that most nutrients in foods are destroyed when they are cooked to a temperature over 116 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grains are highly recommended for their vitamin content as well as minerals. Wheat grass also an excellent food containing many elements needed by the body.
How to maintain high energy?
Movement begets energy. In other words, the most important thing to remember is that the more you move your body the greater chance you have to develop muscles. The more muscle tone you develop, the more movement you will be able to achieve for incrementally longer time periods, The more you put into moving your body for longer time periods at increasingly higher intensity, the more stamina you will develop and the higher your energy reserves will become.
Now your choice of movement could be brisk walking, jogging, swimming, basketball, tennis golf, aerobics, dancing, yoga, and the list goes on and on. The point is not what exercise you chose to do, the most important point is that you do something on a consistent basis to develop a strong heart, muscle tone and good balance.

We have found the Nintendo Wii to be a lot of fun and a surprisingly good way to get some type of exercise even when going outdoors is not an option. Cable television also has a variety of exercise programs available all day and night that you can use as your personal trainer.

The bottom line is if you are inactive you can benefit just by starting very very slowly so as to not injure yourself, and not to discourage yourself by trying to do too much too soon. Over a period of weeks and months just keep moving until it becomes something that you feel you need to do because you feel the benefit of the exercise in improving your quality of life.
